Cordiality, authenticity and tradition are the foundation for the unique flair and atmosphere of the Restaurant Florian. Behind the success of this traditional hotel stands the Florian family, who have been running this legendary house since 1935.
Especially Sissy and Peter Florian, the 3rd generation, invested their heart and soul in developing the cuisine of the Restaurant Florian and were early promoters of products from the region. They made the restaurant what it is today: a social meeting point in the city and a mecca for Styrian gourmets. In the meantime, they have passed on the torch to their son Philipp and daughter-in-law Liliya, who in turn have been investing all their energy to continue the story of success of the Restaurant Florian. Their children Paulina and Alexander, the 5th generation, are already standing in the wings.

Because we care about our juniors
As one of the oldest family-run hotels in Austria, we have always felt a strong responsibility toward training our apprentices. Together with the WIFI Styria we have established the Academy of Apprenticeship, an in-house training concept to offer additional training that goes beyond school instruction for our young employees, especially in the area of social competences. During four modules important values are taught: like team spirit, respectful interaction with each other and individual responsibility. We currently have twelve motivated young apprentices in our restaurant training to become restaurant specialists and cooks.
